Leadership Team
Galen acknowledges the strength and value of shared leadership, the principle of subsidiarity,communal responsibility and internal accountability. Wherever possible policies are developed and decisions made after a range of opinions and attitudes have been contributed.
The Leadership Team and the leadership it provides is vital in the ongoing development of Galen Catholic College as it fulfills its educational mission.
The role of the Leadership Team encompasses the following:
- To reflect the Vision, Mission, Graduate Outcomes and Ethos at Galen in regard to all decisions, policies, programmes and actions taken by Galen.
- To strategically plan and facilitate this forward planning for the Galen Catholic College Community.
- To assist the Principal in the day-to-day running, direction and planning of the College from a Teaching and Learning focus.
- To offer the Principal advice on decisions that need to be made at the College.
- To be visionary in leading the College in future directions.
- To reflect on the current policies and practices of the College and facilitate their ongoing development.
- To bring staff concerns, opinions, attitudes and practices to the attention of the Principal so that they can be addressed.
- To facilitate effective communication within the Galen Catholic College Community.
