Indigenous Awards
The CECV (Catholic Education Commission Victoria) held a dinner for ALL Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander students who were studying Year 12 this year. This plaque, made of Wathaurong Glass, is in recognition of this achievement. More Indigenous Australians than ever are finishing year 12. Historically, Indigenous Australians have been less likely than non-Indigenous Australians to make it to the end of secondary school. But that is changing and this year 27 Indigenous students across Sandhurst studied year 12, and you Madison Smith and Jacinta Beetson are a part of this exciting statistic.
