Early Entry Programs: Several Universities offer alternative ways of gaining access to tertiary courses through early entry programs. Each universities early entry program has different selection criteria, different closing dates and different methods of application. To find out more, go to the following websites:

RMIT Flight Training Open Day: All year 12 students interested in aviation are encouraged to attend this event. RMIT offers a Diploma of Air Transport (Airline Pilot) that will provide students with the flight training necessary to obtain a full commercial pilot’s license as well as the theory component for an Instrumental Rating and an Air Transport Pilot’s License. The event will be held Sunday 11 September 2011, 10 am – 4 pm at RAAF Williams Base, Point Cook Airfield, Williams Rd, Point Cook. For more information, phone 03 9394 9999.

Interested in Nursing? The University of Ballarat is running an information evening about their Bachelor of Nursing program run at the Horsham Campus. The event will be run on Thursday 15 September starting at 6.30pm at the University of Ballarat – Horsham Campus, Auditorium C005 (main building). Try out Engineering at the University of Melbourne: You have the opportunity to participate in hands on sessions exploring Lego Robots, GPS Map-making and Bridge Building. These sessions run for two hours each and you can sign up for any or all of them. You will be able to find out what engineers really do and be tutored by lecturers of first year engineering students. Have you ever considered Biomedical Engineering? Biomedical Engineering is for those interested in practical solutions in the world of medicine, technology, and science. It is the bridge between clinical medicine and technology. RMIT is hosting an introductory seminar and workshop for students in Years 11 and 12 on 30 September about Biomedical Engineering and their four-year degree program.
