A big congratulations to all those students involved in the play “Every One Has A Name” for winning the Georgy Encouragement Award! The prize for this award was $250, donated by Matt and Kate McLindon and Family on Saturday 19th of November.
The students involved studied the period of the Holocaust and wrote their own play depicting this period from the point of view of a child living through these times. Being awarded this prize was a great honour, and the judges were particularly impressed with fact the students wrote their own scripts as well as acting in the performance.
This was a very intense and powerful production and these students should be proud of their performances and the regional recognition that they have received. The prize money will be put towards improving the drama faculty at Galen.
