Dear Galen Parents, Carers and Students,

In light of yesterday’s government announcements regarding COVID-19, we have cancelled parent teacher interviews on Monday.

The safety of our staff, student and parent community is our main priority.

Monday will remain student free but staff will be in attendance working on preparing materials in case of any future government ordered school closure: we have not received any further news relating to school closures but it seems highly likely that this will come at some stage. We will also discuss possible options for communicating with parents around their child’s progress.

We have already cancelled any overseas travel (Timor immersion, VEX Robotics) in the immediate future. We will continue to monitor this situation and other trips scheduled for later in the year may also be cancelled depending on how the situation unfolds and over what length of time.

We will also be cancelling upcoming excursions, camps and other trips until further notice.

Please do not hesitate to contact the school on Monday after 11am if you have any queries or concerns.
