Galen Catholic College Wangaratta announce partnership with Liverpool Football Club International Academy Australia
Galen Catholic College Wangaratta announced the launch of an exciting new partnership with Liverpool Football Club (LFC).
This new partnership will mark the first school in northern regional Victoria to offer an exclusive Liverpool FC Academy high-performance soccer school program commencing in 2023.
In addition to the high-performance soccer program, the partnership with Galen Catholic College Wangaratta will also see the school host a range of Liverpool FC community training and holiday programs available to all aspiring players in the surrounding community.
The youth coaching program involves developing a players’ social and mental growth, career paths, and life skills like leadership, teamwork, and communication in addition to a high quality and authentic LFC football program that develops players’ technical, tactical, and physical skills.
Galen Catholic College (GCC) staff, both teaching and non-teaching, have been undertaking coaching accreditation with expert training from LFCs International Academy coaches in preparation for these programs. In Australia, LFC International Academy is a partnership project between the world-famous football club and the Australian College of Physical Education (ACPE), Australia’s leading independent higher education provider for specialist degrees in Sport, Education, Health, Sport Business and Dance.
Players and students will not be the only ones to gain from this collaboration. Additionally, LFC will offer local coaches the chance to receive expert training and accreditation for this project. LFC International Academy offers young fans around the world an opportunity to learn to play The Liverpool Way, developing participants both on and off the pitch. The Liverpool Way is a philosophy that runs throughout LFC and will be implemented into the Galen Catholic College high-performance soccer school program.
