Staff and students stood in solidarity last Thursday 22nd June by participating in a ‘Circle of Silence’. The Circle of Silence was an opportunity for the Galen community to express support for people seeking asylum, and encourage reflection and discussion about the treatment of refugees and people seeking asylum in our communities, as part of Global Refugee Week. Our stand in solidarity provided an opportunity for staff and students to be part of a united Catholic voice across the country, calling for a more just and humane welcome of people seeking asylum in the Australian community.
