Senior Football

On Tuesday 2nd August Galen Catholic College played 2 round robin games of football against Notre Damn Shepparton and Tallangatta High School.  Things didn’t get off to a good start only having 15 boys turn up on the day to represent their school.  Under these circumstances it made a difficult task for these boys to succeed.  As a result Galen were defeated in both games, they were outnumbered on most occasions.

There was some very inspiring and determined play evident on the day by all players.   An excellent display in the ruck by James Smith as well as Andrew Cusson in the centre provided a real driving force.  Other players contributed admirably on the day despite being significantly under manned.

Hopefully in future those students who initially make the commitment to play on the day will turn up. Otherwise it puts future events at this level in jeopardy.

Thank you to those boys who played both games on the day.  Their behaviour and attitude was fantastic.  Thanks to Mr Burt and to Michael Clark for their supervision of the day.
