Headspace
Monday 13th August
Headspace In Schools will be holding an information session for parents/carers on Monday August 13th at 6.30pm at the Galen Catholic College Auditorium. This is a free session (the school is covering all costs) and is for parents and carers who support young people, not for the young people themselves.
The session will focus on grief in adolescents and young people, how to support a bereaved young person, and will discuss some of the things that you may notice about bereaved young people, and how you can begin safe conversations to promote help seeking. The session will also provide information about where young people and their carers can receive support for their mental health, and some pathways for support in the local area. General tips and practices to promote mental health will also be discussed.
