Year 12s pleased to be back in the classroom

Year 12 students at Galen Catholic College returned to the classroom on Monday 12th October after going back to a second round of remote learning early in August. After almost two months of learning remotely, students were eager to be back in classroom learning face to face with their teachers and were also eager to catch up with their peers. With two weeks until Year 12 classes finish and their final exams commence, both Tyler Ferraro and Harry Lindsey (pictured left to right) agreed that it was good to be back. It also seems apparent that old-school tools like a whiteboard reign supreme over new technology and video conferencing. Both boys commented that they found the immediacy of working in the classroom to be much easier in terms of getting feedback and viewing a demonstration than it is via an online meeting. Students have also found some renewed motivation to focus on their studies without the distractions at home. All students from Years 7 – 11 returned to Galen on Tuesday 13th October.
